CAN GOD BE IRRITATED?

Hebrews 3:16-19
"16 For who were they who heard and yet were rebellious and provoked [Him]? Was it not all those who came out of Egypt led by Moses? 17 And with whom was He irritated and provoked and grieved for forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose dismembered bodies were strewn and left in the desert? 18 And to whom did He swear that they should not enter His rest, but to those who disobeyed [who had not listened to His word and who refused to be compliant or be persuaded]? 19. So we see that they were not able to enter [into His rest], because of their unwillingness to adhere to and trust in and rely on God [unbelief had shut them out]".

You can see from our opening Scripture that rebellion provokes God, sin irritates, provokes and grieves Him, and disobedient makes us lose God's blessings, the disobedient could not enter His rest. How can we claim to love God but yet end up hurting Him like the Israelites? May the LORD have mercy upon us in Jesus name, Amen. Nothing irritates God more than sin and unbelief. A man that doubts can never receive anything from God and a man who lives in sin irritates Him because His eyes are too Holy to behold iniquity. People always say it's not easy to live a perfect life; after all, we are  all humans. Yes we are!  The body is not sinful, it is neutral, it only yields to whatever you make its Lord. Holiness is not impossible, if it were,

Apostle Peter  in 1Peter 1:[15] "But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;
[16] Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy" wouldn't have admonished us to be holy. Also, Jesus wouldn't have told us in Matthew 5:48 "You, therefore, will be perfect [growing into spiritual maturity both in mind and character, actively integrating godly values into your daily life], as your heavenly Father is perfect. With God all things are possible even a perfect life. It is only a matter of choice. You too can make the right choice.

I pray that the Lord will help us to choose to live holy each passing day of our life so that our lives won't be irritating to Him in Jesus name, Amen.
