PROVOKE ONE ANOTHER

Hi, here comes another one! We are asked to provoke one another. Carefully consider the Scripture am unveiling today.
Hebrews 10: [24] And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
[25] Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

I know that someone would have seen this as heresy just by looking at the title. Some Christians in this generation are known for provoking one another to anger, evil, hatred, malice, fighting and what have you?  But God commands us to provoke one another to love and to good works.
Provoke; according to the English Dictionary means to cause someone to become annoyed or angry.
It also means to bring about a reaction.  Whether we are provked in the wrong direction, we can still channel our reaction to the right direction. In 1st Samuel chapter 1 Peninnah provoked Hannah sore and Hannah channeled her reaction to prayer instead of quarreling and fighting with her mate.
Today, I want us to concentrate on the second meaning of the word, here we see God through Apostle Paul talking about the second meaning which is to bring about a reaction and that reaction should be nothing else but love and good works. So we see, that the word provoke is not as bad as we consider it to be. We always see it from the other side (the first meaning) but today we see it from the Scriptures that we can be provoked to love and to good works. That means that whatever you do as a child of God should always influence someone around you (your brethren) to do better for God and for others. Where do you belong? Do you provoke people to love and to good works or do you provoke people to sin, backslide and even leave the Church? When we are provoked to love and to good works then we won't forsake the gathering of ourselves together but will keep encouraging one another as we see the day of the Lord approaching.
This Scripture came afresh to me today and its an eye opener, I hope you catch the revelation as well.
Please ask for Grace to always provoke someone to love and to do good works. May my actions always provoke my brethren to love and to do good works in Jesus name, Amen.
