This one is dedicated to all my
friends in different campuses. Some spend four years in the campus, some five
and some spend six years or more. Whatever the number of years you are meant to spend,
these years are the most crucial moments of one’s life. Today, I want to let you
know that Jesus is in the campus and He loves you. There are some situations you
will come across in the campus even as a believer that might want to make you
doubt the faithfulness of God and if you are an unbeliever, you might want to think that
God doesn’t care, it’s survival of the fittest. It maybe survival of the fittest,
but who can survive without God? The life you have is not yours so how can you
protect it?
28 Come unto me,
all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke
upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find
rest unto your souls.
30 For my yoke is
easy, and my burden is light. (Matthew 11:28-30 KJV)
Dear friends, the Scripture above
is explaining to us that Jesus Christ is interested in our well being even right
in the campus. Your background or whatever does not matter in this case. What
really matters is being a friend of Jesus Christ so that He can take you and
your education to the Zenith.
The friend you keep is a determinant
on whether you will have God or not. Be wise, destiny is personal, just as
salvation is personal not a collective matter. Be a friend to him today so He
can carry your burdens as He has said.
There are many who are born again
before entering the campus, because of friend they lost their salvation. There are
some that are not born again before entering the campus and found Jesus right
in the campus. Do you want to enjoy life; do
you want to fulfill destiny? Look for Jesus while you are still in the campus.
Life in the Campus
Campus life is a combination of
so many students from different background and religious belief. You will meet atheists,
people that don’t believe in Jesus Christ, people that don’t believe in Trinity,
the rich, the poor, people of high and low intellectual level. Morally sound
students and immoral students. Some are marine spirits in disguise as human
beings attending lectures with you. Take it from me, before you finish school
in higher institution, there must be one student that will suddenly disappear
and nobody will have his or her trace ever again.
Campus life is a very interesting
life, it could be the best years of your youthful life or the worst days of your
youthful life depending on the choices you make.
Romans 12:1
“I beseech you
therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a
living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
2 And be not
conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind,
that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God”.
To be a friend of Jesus, you must do the following:
1. You must be born again (John 3:3-10) See Romans 10:9-10, Acts 4:12 on how to do that.
2. Renounce your evil ways and don't go back again.
3. Study God's word and pray everyday.
4. Identify with believers.
If you want to make that choice now, say this prayer:
LORD, I thank You for loving me and for the gift of Your Son Jesus Christ. I confess my sins today and forsake my old ways in the path of sin and destruction. I accept Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord of my life. Thank You Jesus, for saving me and setting me on the right path.
If you said that prayer, you are born again! Hallelujah! Welcome to the family of God.
