Mysteries Uncovered

September reading has been amazing, going from Revelations to Ruth and personally I have learnt a lot from Naomi, Ruth and Boaz and it's worth sharing. Be blessed as you read.
1/9/22
Text: Revelations 11:1-19
Q.1/5
Topic: The reign of Christ
God is almighty, He is supreme, He has the final say over all situations of life. God is the only One who gives power to men and He decides what happens, no matter the ranting of the wicked, God reigns.
Warning: Fire will devour anyone who will hurt the two witnesses. But who are the witnesses?

2/9/22
Topic: Loyalty in Relationships
Text: Ruth 1:1-22
Q2/7
Some striking things about this family:
Untimely death and childlessness. Why do I say this? The two sons were married for 10years yet had no children before they died. Hmmm
Prayer: Every norm in my family that is not in line with God's purpose for my life be frustrated by fire in Jesus name Amen.
Anything in me that needs to die for the purpose of God to speedily manifest in my life die in the name of Jesus.
It is dangerous to move without divine direction and instruction. Elimelech moved without divine direction and death was the penalty. Why didn't Naomi move back with her sons after the death of her husband?
There is a great lesson for every mother-in-law, you can see that Naomi's daughters in-law were ready to go with her even after the death of her sons that was because she was a good mother, she didn't treat them unfairly or take undue advantage of them, she took them in as her children. Most times, the way you receive your son's wife might determine how she will treat you in return. As Christians parents, and Christians in general, let's learn to treat people with love and respect.
Example to follow: cling to light and to the children of light no matter the circumstances or even what they might be going through.
We often blame God for the consequences of our actions just like Naomi did. Don't blame God if you didn't seek Him before taking that step. Even in our mistakes, God is ready to heal and restore us once we cry to Him in repentance.
Don't allow circumstances to take away the life of God in you, don't become hostile towards people because of life circumstances. Naomi didn't even with all she went through

3/9/22
Topic: Hard work and integrity
Text: Ruth 2:1-13
I see that it was God that ordered the steps of Ruth. Indeed, the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord. This is a typical example of divine direction and positioning. Ruth was directed and positioned at the right field and at the right time.
Prayer: Father, direct and position me at the right places and at the right time.
God is truly the rewarder of His children. Imagine how Naomi at old age would have been struggling for food but God sent Ruth with her so He could provide for them through Ruth's hard-work and fulfill His purpose through Ruth. Even for God to use you, you must first make yourself available.
Boaz showed kindness to Ruth. When God blesses us, we should be a blessing to others in return.

Sound counsel for Christian marriage
Text: Ruth 3:1-18
Q2,8
Boaz seemed to be a good man but one would wonder why he wasn't married at that age? Because from his speech to Ruth, he seemed to be an elderly man. That aside, Boaz was a kind and God fearing fellow, he didn't take undue advantage of Ruth. How many men in our society today will treat a lady with so much honour and respect? Them go say, na she carry herself give me.
Ruth obeyed counsel and was also ready to get re-married.
Naomi: I need to be as selfless as Naomi - Don't keep people from reaching their goal in life because they are useful to you. Wish people well and mean it from your heart.

Topic: God ordained marriage
Text: Ruth 4:1-22
Q.2,7
The blessings of parents speaks, words are powerful. Israel blessed Judah saying that the center shall not depart from Judah, King David prayed asking that the Lord will give him an eternal blessing. The Lord promised David that he will never lack a man to seat on the throne, God promised to build David a sure house. Today, reading the book of Ruth chapter 4, we see how those promises and declaration of blessings never failed from generation to generation but followed the order of Jacob's blessing to Judah to align with David's prayer.
Judah was also the only one who lost 2 sons mysteriously and at their prime due to their wicked act, yet he never lacked a son to continue procreation for his generation.
One would wonder why the genealogy of Judah did not continue from Shelah the son he bore with the wife he married but it rather continued with Pharez the one he bore with Tamar his late son's wife who pretended to be a prostitute.
Lesson: When it comes to God, your history and background does not matter. Even when people commit fornication and give birth out of wedlock, God does not punish or reject that child because of the parent's sins, how such life turns up is mostly dependent on their life choices. Stop giving excuses as to why you can't make it in life. God loves everyone equally. You are not making it because you are making wrong choices. Even if there are alters fighting against you, you can still overcome, just live right by been found in Christ Jesus first, the rest will follow.

6/9/22
Text: Micah 1:1-16
Topic: Sin brings judgment
Q.1,2
Being born in a Christian family does not make one a born again Christian. Anointing and prophecies cannot save anyone that is not in Christ Jesus, sin has great consequences.
Sin carries our children, wealth and prosperity into captivity. Sin is terrible. One must live a faithful life.

7/9/22
Woe to Oppressors
Text: Micah 2:1-13
God's judgement will come upon the wicked. It is wrong to use your power to oppress the helpless and cheat them of their inheritances.

8/9/22
Consequences of bad leadership
Text: Micah 3:1-12

9/9/22
The mountain of the Lord shall be established
Text: Micah 4:1-13

10/9/22
Topic: A promised ruler from Bethlehem
Text: Micah 5:1-15
The Bible is very accurate, the accounts of the Bible are accurate and precise. The birth of Jesus has been long prophesied by Prophet Micah. God is the judge of all

11/9/22
Text: Micah 6:1-16
Topic: The sacrifice God wants
Who can stand when God calls for a court case? Who can win against God? God gives account of His righteous dealings with Israel and how He has saved them severally yet they keep turning away from Him.
V.8: What God considers good and requires from us is to deal justly, to love mercy and walk humbly before Him. God hates pride, your big tithe and offering would mean nothing if our heart is not humble and if we don't walk in humility.

12/9/22
Text Micah 7:1-20
Topic: Focus on God in the midst of corruption
The Word of prepares our heart for challenges ahead and gives us wisdom to deal with them and overcome. A time comes when our family members will rise up against us but we must know that it is already written. This also prepares us to keep our mouth shut sometimes even from members of our families.

13/9/22
Text Habakkuk 1:1-17
Q.2,7
Topic: Does God Care?
V.2: Just like Habakkuk, there are times we cry out to God and it seems as though He is silent or quiet and most times we think it is urgent but only God knows what's urgent and the right time to answer us.
V.3: Will seem as though Habakkuk existed in this our current generation. We see sin sin and sadness, oppression and bribery in every facet. Sometimes, I really cry as Habakkuk did.
V.4: The wicked far outnumbers the righteous, bribery and trickery prevail. Is this not true? Where you work as a Christian and standing as a Christian how many persons hate you and wants to bring you down because you stand for righteousness?
Vs.5-11: God promises to raise a cruel army that will march upon the people and crush them. Sinners and evil people who fail to repent will be crushed one day. Where is your stand?
Even the evil man who succeeds in his evil schemes does so because God allows him to, sometimes he uses the evil man to punish His children when they disobey Him.

14/9/22
Micah 2:1-20
Topic: Be patient: God still rules
God answers His children. Whatever God has said concerning me will surely come to pass
Sorrow awaits anyone who builds house and gathers wealth with dishonest means. Dishonest means could be bloodshed or fraud. Sorrow awaits anyone who drunks someone to rape them.

Text: Micah 3:1-19
Q.2/7
Faith that works
V.3: The glory of God covers the heavens and His praise fills the earth - Darkness can never overshadow the praise and the glory of God.
Horns come out of God's hands.
Only God has the earth's measurement.
No matter the circumstances surrounding or the world, I should reverence God and cultivate a habit of absolute trust and praise His name always.

Saturday 17/9/22
Text: Revelation 13:1-18
Q.5/8
Topic: The great deception
From verse 13-14 we can learn that the Devil also does wonders and will do many more wonders but they are lying wonders which only them that know the truth would be able to tell. From this verse, we can therefore conclude that signs and wonders is not a way of telling a genuine man of God. We the children of God are for signs and wonders. We shouldn't therefore go seeking for signs and wonders rather have an intimate relationship with God through effective quiet time and prayer.
The concluding verse actually calls for us to seek for God's wisdom.
V.8: We also have to keep warning unbelievers that anyone whose name is not written in the book of Life will be at the mercy of the Beast, and we must ensure that we remain in Lord.

18/9/22
Text: Revelation 14:1-20
Q.3, 5
Topic: The hope of the believer
V.1: They had God's name written on their foreheads, this is one assurance of salvation for us because God's name has been written on our foreheads, we may not see it but the enemy sees and recognizes who we are. Don't let anything take away your salvation. We have been sealed
V.3-5: Among believers, we have those that are kept aside, they will sing a song that no other person can sing, they are a special breed of believers because they are the firstfruits. In our walk with God, we are not all at the same level.
4: Teaches us something important about firstfruits. If God could separate some persons unto Himself as firstfruits, does that not tell us that God is very much interested in us giving our firstfruits to Him? Firstfruit of your day, your money, etc.
They are virgins, have never been dishonest neither have they ever told lies - they are amongst men and some may have died but they are humans just like you and I. What excuse would we give before God then if live and die in sin? What excuse would you give for telling lies?
V.7: Some persons argue that God didn't create the seas and waters because according to Genesis the waters covered the earth before God moved and spoke. From this verse we can correctly see that God made the heavens and the earth, the seas and the fountains of water. Studying the Word gives us solid foundation to build upon which no man can ever pluck us off, we must take our study of the Word very serious so as not to be deceived by those who preach another gospel.
In yesterday's reading we saw the great deception, in vs.9-10 of today's reading, we see God's judgement on everyone that will be deceived and lured into accepting the mark of the beast. Deception and lies will always appear to be true but they aren't, it will be unfortunate for anyone that will give in to such lies. No man will be execused for accepting the mark.
V.11: Those who took the mark will be tormented with fire and brimstone and their torment will be for ever and ever. Dear, why are you still hesitating in surrendering your life to Jesus? Would you prefer to be tormented forever?
Vs.12-13: Herein is our patience and our hope. Do you have any relative that died in the Lord? Be happy for them. If you won't meet the Lord alive, be sure to die in the Lord.
Vs14-20: clearly tells us about the harvest of the earth. With this I don't need to be deceived with those who claim that they died and went to heaven and God was about to destroy the earth but Jesus started pleading for mercy. Don't be deceived, once the time is set and the harvest is ripe, the LORD God will command His angels and they will reap the earth. This instruction will be given by God and it will be carried out by Jesus and His angels.
Prayer: Father help me, take away anything that will take away my salvation and seal in Christ Jesus in Jesus name Amen
