NEVER GIVE UP

NEVER GIVE UP

7th May, 2019 will live long in the heart of many football fans, especially in the hearts of Barcelona and Liverpool fans. To Liverpool fans this day will always bring the smile of victory as it leaves a good memory whereas the same day leaves a  sad and bad memory to Barcelona fans. That is just the mystery of life. What makes me happy could also be the reason why someone else is sad. I learnt some lesson from this game, never ever give up!

Never give up! It's not over. When you give up then it's over. Liverpool players and their Manager Kloop never gave up not minding that they lost 3-0 to Barcelona at Camp Nou. In football, especially in UEFA Champions League, every football fan knows how impossible it is to turn the tables against 3-0 defeat especially to a team like Barcelona, it seldom happens in football.

How did Liverpool do the impossible? They never gave up because they believed they can. Even their fans had given up and written them off.  They never gave up not minding that their opponents (Barcelona) had concluded that they've won the game.

Why Barcelona lost the game. Over confidence. They underrated Liverpool and felt they had already won. (Biggest mistake of their life). No wonder Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 10:12 warns "wherefore let him that  thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall". The Bible is applicable in every except of life except that men hate to apply it in all they do. Barcelona felt so relaxed because Liverpool scored no goal in Spain, they concluded that Liverpool can't beat them 4-0 without them scoring a goal at Anfield, after all, all they needed was just a goal. Barcelona also made the mistake of building the team around Messi, Liverpool discovered this weak point and used it to their advantage. Don't ever build your life on anything or anyone outside God and His word, you will end up disappointed.

Barcelona also considered Liverpool to be weak without their hit man Salah forgetting that behind every successful striker is a good midfielder, Mane does some creative and intelligent work which Salah doesn't and that underrating was the beginning of their fall and they indeed feel.
