  14. Am sorry for not being consistent with this as promised, please forgive me. Today's question: According to Jesus, what do the Gentiles seek after and what should the children of God seek? Like always, back your answer with a Bible reference. All the best!

  15. The answer is this: The Gentiles seek after food, drinks and clothes but we are to seek the kingdom of God and His righteousness. Matthew 6:31-33 "31 Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you".

    ReplyDelete
  21. The two Paul reffered to as my sons are Timothy and Onesimus

    1. Helen you tried but you missed it. I mean the person's he called my own son not just my son. Timothy is correct but Onesimus is wrong for Paul only referred to him as my son not my own son. You still have time to win it. All the best dear

  23. Can works of righteousness save someone? Please support your answer with a corresponding Bible portion or portions.

    1. Rom 10:9-10 gives the condition for salvation. Anyone who's not born of water or of the Spirit (Jn. 3:5) is not saved. Summarily, works of righteousness cannot save a man as such works are like filthy rags. Salvation comes first and foremost by believing in and receiving Jesus the Christ. After this, you begin to "work" righteousness through the help of the indwelling Spirit.

    2. Wow! At the time I almost gave up on a winner you nailed it. Indeed, you have answered correctly, expect your 200 card soon and do respond here once received. To add to the Scriptures refereed is Titus 3:5: He saved us, not because of any works of righteousness that we had done, but because of His own pity and mercy, by [the] cleansing [bath] of the new birth (regeneration) and renewing of the Holy Spirit,
