This is an Introduction to the book of Romans which gives you an overview of the whole Epistle.
Paul wrote this letter to the Church in Rome (Chapter 1:7 To [you then] all God’s beloved ones in Rome, called to be saints and designated for a consecrated life: Grace and spiritual blessing and peace be yours from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ) probably from Corinth around AD 57. The primary theme of the letter is the Gospel. Paul wrote the letter to present an organised teaching about God's salvation plan for all mankind so that the Christians in Rome may understand the basis and content of the Gospel that they had believed. The letter also covered the other themes such as justification by faith, righteousness, guilt, sanctification and security. The Epistle to the Romans is a charter of the Christian faith, which we need not only to study but also to understand and inculcate into our lives, so that we can defend our faith with confidence whenever and wherever occasion demands.
