What Have You Decided?

Decision is Key

Luke 12:57 “Why can’t you decide for yourselves what is right?

Jesus in the above Bible verse posed a question that is worth ruminating over, over and over again. "Why can't you decide for yourselves what is right?" God has given everyone of us the ability to distinguish between good and bad, right and wrong, and moral from immoral. No one, whether born again or not can say that he/she does not know whether what he/she is doing is good or bad, right or wrong, moral or immoral. We all have a conscience which God has put in all of us and we know what we are doing.
Those of you who have rejected Jesus did so intentionally, we chose not to believe in Him, we chose not to accept Him as our Lord and Personal Saviour and that is why man will be inexcusable on the last day. Those of us who are in church, make faith confessions and even speak in tongues but are still living in sin, know what we are doing. It is not the devil that is doing it as most people claim but we only allow the devil to be using us to achieve his dubious mission.
We have refused to allow the cross to cross out sin and immorality in our lives. Stop accusing the devil over things you are completely responsible for. That's why Jesus asked "why can't you decide for yourselves?" Because the power to decide, lies within you.
Man is a free moral agent. Meaning that you can make decisions and choices yourself.
Better chose wisely! Make the right choice while you have the time and chance.
What are your decisions on a daily basis? What decisions did you make today? What decisions have you made for tomorrow?

The question posed by our Lord in this verse is coming to you today? Are you sure He is not asking you; why can't you decide for yourselves that which is right? Beloved, decide rightly today. Make right choices before it is too late.

If we go further to finish the remaining two verses, we would have a better understanding of why we must decide rightly.

Luke 12: 58 When you are on the way to court with your accuser, try to settle the matter before you get there. Otherwise, your accuser may drag you before the judge, who will hand you over to an officer, who will throw you into prison. 59 And if that happens, you won’t be free again until you have paid the very last penny.”

This concluding verses of Luke Chapter 12 is a clear message to everyone of us. Failing to make the right decision at the right time could lead to a grievous end. The right decisions you failed to make today, will lead to destruction tomorrow. The decision that no man can make for you, you have to decide for yourself!
