Is Bridal Train Biblical?

Is it right for a Christian to have a bridal train during their wedding?

You may ask, what is a bridal train? Well, what is a Train? A train is an extra length of fabric that extends from the back of the bride's wedding gown and trails behind her as she walks. It may be part of her gown, it could be a detachable piece or overlay that connects to her waist.

Secondly, a bridal train is made of up of maids that accompany the bride, usually referred to as bridesmaids.

Who is a Maid? According to English Dictionary: 

• A girl or an unmarried young woman; maiden.
• Note - maid is often used in the common or species names of flowering plants.
• A female servant or cleaner (short for maidservant).
• A virgin of either gender.

Bridal train is usually made up of the chief bridesmaid, best-man, bridesmaids, groomsmen, little groom, little bride, page boy and balloon girls. 

I have heard some Christians condemn the idea of bridal train. Some say it is a worldly and sinful act. They ask; why should a Christian be interested in such a worldly display or even practice it in their wedding?

I poised this question, "Is Bridal Train Biblical?" on my WhatsApp Status and only two wonderful persons responded, their responses are as follows:

•  Is church wedding service scriptural? 
With scriptures and verses, instances also if any from the epistles and Apostles doctrine.
While you think and research on it, this is not to attack you or answer your question with one, but to tell you they are all traditions that were adopted down the line. Western and European traditions ma.

• Solomon had a train...the ten virgins were actually a train in waiting...I will remember other places this could be applied in light of scripture.

While, you can see that both responses leaves me with no strong scriptural reference and it can be argued and won that Bridal Train is not Biblical with the two responses above but I want to strongly tell you that Bridal Train is not just a Western or European tradition that we copied but a Biblical practice, if it's in the Bible, then it is a godly practice not worldly as some claim. If you choose not to have a bridal train in your wedding, that's your choice, don't make it seem like it's a sin. It was practiced by Kings that loved and served God.

I want to boldly tell you that the idea of bridal train didn't originate from any other place other than the Bible. If the Bible is God's word and God is the final authority, God is the authority over bridal train. I know you are already too eager to have me disclose the exact place in the Bible, wait for it.

I was also very shocked the first time someone took me through this passage of the Bible while talking about marriage. I was like 😲, everything is really in the Bible.

    as they enter the king’s palace!

My dear, Bridal Train is not a sin.
