It is not every time we ask God a question that He gives us a direct answer. Sometimes, He asks us a question in regard to the response or answer to our question to Him and the answer we give is actually the answer to the question we have asked Him. He can use natural things to bring spiritual things to our understanding.
God relates with us according to our level of understanding.
Let me throw more light on what am saying, one day a sister asked me this "Ma, is it right for a woman to climb the altar when she is in her period"? Wow! Honesty, I didn't see that coming at all. I was quiet for a while.
I know that some Christians still belief that a woman should not be allowed in church during this time. It was also not permitted in the old Testament but not anymore, still I didn't know how to answer this.
As I tried to answer this question, I asked the Holy Spirit to help me, what I heard in my spirit was amazing.
These are the questions that came to my heart; Does God answer your prayers when you are in your period? Did I hear right? Yes! He does.
Does the Holy Spirit relate with you when you are in your period? Yes!
Does the Holy Spirit abandon you because you are in your period? No! He doesn't. You have your answer to the question.

Wow! That was exactly how I asked her the same questions and I told her that the answer to the question she asked is in the answer to these questions I asked her and that was it. God is just too awesome.
