Exodus 16:4 Then the Lord said to Moses, Behold, I will rain bread from the heavens for you; and the people shall go out and gather a day’s portion every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in My law or not.
I learnt an important lesson from this verse while studying my Bible this morning.
Human beings like to murmur and complain a lot and always try to find a reason suitable for their excuses. Most times people complain and murmur about so many things. I can't come to Church because I don't have money for offering, I don't have a job, I don't have good clothes to put on, I don't have this, I don't have that. We always find excuses as to why we shouldn't be committed to God. God in His ever loving nature meets those needs to prove us. Not that He doesn't know what our response will be after meeting our needs but He does it so that He won't be left without a witness and because He is a good Father.
So, when God blesses you with a good job, you now have enough money to buy good clothes and pay offering. Do you go to church? Do you serve Him with your substance? Do you become committed in matters of the Kingdom? These are questions you are to answer yourself. So many of us have failed God's test over and over again. We have been proved that the things we murmur over are not our problem rather our problem is that our heart is not right with God. We lack understanding of Who He is to us and why we should serve Him.
