IT'S ABOUT HOW YOU FINISH

By Peace Wobo
The end of a thing is better than the beginning thereof. It is not about starting well but mainly about finishing well and strong. Apostle Paul finished well and so he was bold to say this in 2 Timothy 4:7 "I  have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:". So many people started well but never finished well. King Solomon started on a good note but ended poorly, he didn't finish well. He disappointed God and made Israel suffer because God had to take 10 cities away from his son Rehoboth and left just one for him only for David's sake. The one and only weakness Solomon had was his love for strange women and that cost him his relationship with God. 1 Kings 11:1 "But King Solomon [defiantly] loved many foreign women—the daughter of Pharaoh, women of the Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Sidonians, and Hittites.
They were of the very nations of whom the Lord said to the Israelites, You shall not mingle with them, neither shall they mingle with you, for surely they will turn away your hearts after their gods. Yet Solomon clung to these in love.
He had 700 wives, princesses, and 300 concubines, and his wives turned away his heart from God".
Today, so many things could turn your heart away from God, it could be sexual immorality, strange women or men, masturbation, hate, unforgiveness, social media, work  etc that is gradually snatching you away from your Maker and first love? Come back to Him now that you still have the opportunity to do so.  Don't end up like Solomon. Jesus loves you morethan you could ever imagine. Stay blessed!
