Let me take us through the book of Daniel Chapter One again
Daniel 1 NIV
3:Then the king ordered Ashpenaz, chief of his court officials, to bring into the king’s service some of the Israelites from the royal family and the nobility—
4:young men without any physical defect, handsome, showing aptitude for every kind of learning, well informed, quick to understand, and qualified to serve in the king’s palace. He was to teach them the language and literature of the Babylonians.
5:The king assigned them a daily amount of food and wine from the king’s table. They were to be trained for three years, and after that they were to enter the king’s service
Just like then, the Babylonians are still in high demand of Israelites with outstanding qualities and of royal lineage to serve their king. Does it not bother you to see the kind of people the king required to serve in his kingdom?
First, they must be from the royal family and as a Christian you are a Royal Priesthood and a holy nation, so you are of a royal family and nobility.
They must not have defect, that means they must be people that are physically and mentally sound, without any trace of defect be it past or present. Once you are in Christ Jesus you are already a new creation, old things are past away, the devil can't find any defect in you.
Thirdly, they must be strong and ready to learn the Babylonian language and literature.
What a criteria! What a caliber of people these must be!
That's what the devil does today, he is offering a lot of us amazing jobs with good pay but gradually causing our heart to drift away from God. Our job becomes the reason why we are too tired to study the Bible, too tired to pray, too tired to attend fellowship and then we begin to learn the Babylonian language and practice Babylonian literature. Learning the language is not the problem but chosing to speak it and living it becomes the issue.

Isn't it amazing that even the devil don't look for people without worth, he looks for those that God has invested so much upon to employ for his dark kingdom. He wants to convert everything God has taught them to suit his dark practices.
Thank God we have a good example from Daniel and his three Hebrew friends who refused to learn to practice Babylonian literature nor speak their language even though they learnt and understood the language, they didn't allow themselves to be influenced and controlled by the Babylonians.
I want to tell you this, if you have been faithful, hardworking, intelligent, skillful, outstanding and you have been taught as a child of God and acquired skills to shine forth, know that you are a top notch target for the kingdom of darkness. The Babylonians are after you, please don't get Babylonianized.
