Lessons from Daily Guide

From my note, Personal Lessons I learnt as I studied God's Word through the use of Daily Guide Devotional this past week. I hope you will be blessed and pick some lessons that will bless you as you go through as well.

9/1/22
Topic: Jesus has authority to forgive sins
Luke 5:12-26
1. God the Father in this  passage forgives the paralytic to confirm that He is God because only God can forgive us our sins.
2. When God visits a man, He does not just visit his physical challenges but He deals with the root cause of His physical challenges.
3. 2.  I need to cry out to God for help. I must not let anything stand as a hindrance to receiving my blessings and forgiveness from God.

10/1/22
Luke 5:22-39
Topic: The vilest offender who truly believes
Jesus came for the sick and not for the righteous. Levi, may not have the gospel to win his fellow tax collectors but he used a means they will easily fall for to get their attention to the Master. We too can use similar ways to win our friends. Let's go back to those who were living in sin with us before we got saved and introduce them to Jesus.

11/1/22
Text: Psa.13:1-6
Topic: How long, Lord?
It is okay to express ourselves to God when we get to the crossroads like David. It is okay to complain to Him when we feel overwhelmed. When we have issues bothering us, we should go to God and not to man or even to ourselves. God understands us at every point and is interested in listening to us. Don't let your condition drag you farther away from God, rather it should draw you closer to Him.

12/1/22
Text: Ezekiel 33:1-20
Topic: A Watchman
Command to obey: We are watchmen sent to sound warning alarms of eternity to sinners. We are watchmen over members of our families and people around us. It is dreading to know that failure to reach a sinner when the Lord sends us to that sinner will lead to the sinner's death and the Lord will require his blood at our hands.
Warning to heed: there is nothing like past righteousness or past sin, the Lord is interested in now. We must live for God everyday to make it to heaven. Don't depend on your past glory, past prayer life or past righteousness be consistent.

13/1/22
Text: Ezekiel 33:21-33
Topic: God's judgement on the Remnant
Example to follow: We must learn how to respond to bad news. We should seek God's face on every matter before giving our counsels.
Not to follow: Don't seek the face of God's servant just to hear him or her prophesy, don't take God's servant as an entertainer. Don't make jest of God's servant. God sees what we say and do in secret. God can reveal a person or people to His servants.
Warning: Don't be pretentious or two-faced. God hates immorality, worshipping of idols, eating meat with blood and relying on our strength, ability or skills. 25-26. Don't be dishonest!
Know that every word God speaks through His prophets must surely come to pass.

14/1/22
Ezekiel 34:1-16
Topic: The Shepherds and God's Flock
In our time, we should be that one person that God is willing to relate to and reveal His mind. We should be available and willing to be used of the Lord at anytime.
This message goes especially to Leaders/Priests/Prophets even to owners of companies and runners of orphanage homes.
We must not exploit the people or whatever God has placed under us. We shouldn't take the opportunity we have as leaders to exploit people or the place we are.
Don't take advantage of the innocent people God has placed under your care. Don't oppress members and people under you. Don't oppress the orphans you are meant to protect and care for. Some orphanage home runners get huge amount from government and NGO's in the name of catering for this orphans but never use the money for the upkeep and training of those children. They even beat them and subject them to different wicked acts. God is warning you!
Some pastors are only interested in collecting offering and seeds from their members but they never teach them the Word of God.

15/1/22
Ezekiel 34:17-31
Topic: God's Restoration
It is amazing that after God has declared His judgement on the Priests/Prophets/Leaders, God starts today by saying that He will judge between sheep and sheep, goats and ram. This is just to tell us that God will judge everyone of us, leaders will be judged and followers will be judged afterwards. Each one of us will be judged accordingly. If you rejoiced yesterday because you are not a leader am sure you should be examining yourself today.
Example not to follow: Don't be the type that enjoys benefit but makes it difficult for others to enjoy same benefit. What is good for you is also good for your brethren. Don't be someone that only thinks of him/herself.
God used pasture here v.18, you eat the good pasture and then tread down the residue-wickedness of the highest order. Something you didn't make possible, wasn't you who provided it, God's natural resources for all mankind, you gather the good for yourself and even the left over that you were might to leave for others, you make a mess of it. This goes across to every area and sphere of life, in our workplaces, at home, in church, in the community we belong and the society at large. God will judge you and I because He is watching us.
Warning: God has declared His soon coming judgement on everyone of us.
