Corruption is just like an institution in Nigeria that no Christian worker can take a step without stepping on corruption. We just have to know this and know peace. You are the light of the World and light is appreciated where darkness was prevailing. When light comes to a dark place, everyone notices and appreciates it, even those who don't have the light will end up appreciating the light.
There is a big gap between righteousness and unrighteousness in the workplace. Unfortunately, some Christians have failed to show that there is a difference between them and the world in the workplace and that's why the world does not believe that we are different. We have a challenge to truly show forth righteousness in the way we do our work.
What is my place as a Christian?
1. D Compartmentalize Your Life: Your problem starts when you begin to separate your spiritual life from your work life. See your life as one life, one standard, one disposition. You must merge your life together as a Christian. There must be no division between circular work and spiritual work. It should be the same level of righteousness in the workplace. Col.3:17
Example of a super Civil Servant from the Bible: Daniel
Dan.6:1-5. From the book of Daniel we see that Daniel was a core civil servant, there is nothing civil servants do that Daniel did not do yet he maintained righteousness in all his dealings that they could find no fault or charge against him except his stand for God. You have no excuse for not standing.
Before Daniel got to this peak of his career, he made a decision (he made up his mind) Daniel 1:8.
2. We all must make up our mind on how we want to work. Do we want to please God with our work or please men?
3. Create your own environment within your sphere. Be very transparent. Decide how people will perceive you and relate with you.
4. Always go the extra mile. Don't just add value but go the extra mile. Do it as your Father's work.
5. Be a Christian even in the way you do your work. Let men see honesty and sincerity in all you do.
You can open the door of your faith for sharing the gospel through the influence of your work.
6. We must keep improving and upping our knowledge to know what is invoke. Don't be a Christian that is not adding value, know your job very well and keep developing yourself to remain relevant, don't shame the name of Christ.
7. You must know that doing the right thing at the wrong time makes that right thing wrong. Pray when you ought to pray but please be awake to do your work during the day. Don't go to vigil during work days and come back to sleep in the office the next day - that's unrighteousness.

8. You must take God to your workplace and adjust your workplace to please God and not trying to adjust God to your workplace.
9. Don't just sit under oppression if you have procedures to legally report or express your grievances. Don't let wickedness overtake you in the workplace.
Matthew 16:18 Now I say to you that you are Peter (which means ‘rock’), and upon this rock I will build my church, and all the powers of hell will not conquer it.
For anything to be unstoppable it means that there are forces trying to stop it. The church that Jesus talked about is unstoppable but there are forces trying to stop it. We must conquer those things that wants to stop us. Are you unstoppable? Are you a part of the moving church?
Then triumph in righteousness in your workplace.
